Fall play brings back familiar faces

Fall play brings back familiar faces

The cast members for the fall play “I Hate Shakespeare” have been announced. Auditions for the play were held Sept. 12-15 and welcomed a few familiar faces from previous OHS plays.

One of these recurring faces is Alex Pepper (10), who is no stranger to the theater scene. He played the lead role in his fifth grade drama production at Oakville Elementary School and was involved with the spring play during his freshman year. Playing seven roles in the play, Pepper’s roles range from Bill Shakespeare to playing the role of a cow.

Another familiar face is Sarah Girardier (12), who has been in every school production since she has been attending OHS. She has also noticed an increase in freshman with, “less juniors and seniors than there have been in past years.”

“I Hate Shakespeare” is a humorous take on classic Shakespeare stories with a modern twist. The play will be held November 10, 11, 17 and 18 from 5-10 p.m. This year’s annual fall play will be directed by Ms. Amy Learn.
