Ever since the Academy expanded the Best Picture category to 10 nominees, it has become harder to predict a winner. However, some think that the award could go to either Lincoln or Silver Linings Playbook. Many believe veteran actor Daniel Day-Lewis or Hugh Jackman will take home Best Actor. For Best Actress, it is quite a close race. Past Oscar nominees Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain are both up for the award. This category also includes the youngest Oscar nominee, 9-year-old Quvenzhane Wallis. Best Supporting Actor could go three different ways with Tommy Lee Jones, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Robert DeNiro. Many have their predictions set on Anne Hathaway taking home Best Supporting Actress. Last but not least, Best Director could go to Steven Spielberg for Lincoln or Ang Lee for Life of Pi. This will certainly be the awards show to watch this year. All the winners will be announced during the 85th Academy Awards telecast on Feb. 24.
