Ask Carl

Welcome to the first edition of Ask Carl! Where I, Carl, answer all the questions our fantastic readers submit.* I couldn’t wait for the next volume of The Prowl, so I decided to answer some of the questions I have currently. So let’s get started!

How’s life for you, Carl? Also, how do you deal with your friends going to university. Because I’m not going to university right away next year and I want to, but I can’t because my mom wants me to go to a 2 year college.

Life is pretty great, pal. Thank you for asking. The preparation for college is stressful and full of difficult decisions. I myself have had to see friends leave for University. College is your path to your future, and people will come and go from that path. But if you want those friends to stay in your life, then all you have to do is make an effort to keep in touch. Do what is best for you, and keep the people and things that mean the most to you close to you.

Do you like BTS??

I hate Big Tree Stumps. Hate them. They’re always getting in my way. Big Tree Stumps are my greatest enemy. Ever since I was a child, I’ve always had a distinct hatred for those stupid stumps. That is what you mean by BTS, right?

Do you know anything about the six kingdoms of life? If not, I’ll tell you what they are. They’re animals, plants, fungi, protists, eubacteria and archaebacteria. 

I didn’t know life had kingdoms!! There’s kings and queens of the kingdoms of life too, right? That’s so awesome. I wish I could visit a kingdom of life. Maybe one day me and my lover can travel to the far away kingdoms of life.

Do you watch Channel 97 News?

Yes I do! I really enjoy Channel 97 News. I think that our broadcast class here at Oakville does a fantastic job at keeping everyone informed of what’s going on around school. Where are you from?

I’m from a small pond in Canada, a really cute and quaint place. I’m your typical Canadian duck. I love drinking maple syrup, riding moose and playing duck hockey. Duck hockey is just like human hockey except…the players are ducks.
