The Big Bang Theory’s spinoff “Young Sheldon” has been releasing the last season episode by episode every Thursday since February 15, 2024. For some context, Sheldon Cooper is a young boy who lives in Medford, Texas with his family. He went to high school when he was 9 and is now at 13 going to attend CalTech soon.
“Young Sheldon” is by far my favorite show right now. Watching the Cooper family work as a team is hilarious to watch, and I look forward to it every day. Watching this show truly makes me feel like I am living in the show. After watching the show, I definitely feel like I had some attachment to it. On Thursday, May 16, the two part finale of the show dropped.
Episode 12, the one before the two-part finale, had an incredibly emotional ending. Beloved coach, dad and family man George Cooper died of a heart attack abruptly. This death has been trending on every social media platform, and it definitely has a lot of people teared up.
The first episode we got in the finale was all about the funeral. Georgie, who is George’s son, had in my opinion the best performance. You could tell he was trying to keep himself together in order to in turn hold his family together, while Mary, George’s wife, went down the religious rabbit hole. Sheldon and Missy, Sheldon’s twin sister, were definitely the most emotional along with Mary. I think that these characters showed me all of the different ways to deal with grief, and it was eye-opening as a viewer.
In the last episode of the two-part finale, there was also an appearance from Jim Parsons (future Sheldon) and his wife Mayim Bialik (Amy). This had Big Bang Theory fans buzzing all over the world.
As the episode came to an end, the Cooper house was finally sold, and Sheldon was walking at CalTech on his first day. This show showed me that though you may have incredible opportunities, difficult things will still try to come between you and your dreams. This show was incredible, and I would recommend it to anyone.
