Last year, National Honor Society surpassed its goal of raising $5000 for its chosen fundraiser with flying colors.
Sponsor of the club, Ms. Amanda Zink, is confident that this year NHS will have the same success even without returning any of last year’s executive leaders.
“This year, the exec team has worked really hard to come up with fundraisers that everyone can participate in,” NHS President Ryan Luebke (12) said.
Thus far, the club has held several fund-raising events including Jar Wars which alone raised about $1700.
To finish out the year, the NHS team hopes to have a few fundraisers that OHS has not seen in a while.
NHS has in mind, donkey basketball which is similar to an ordinary basketball game except its students vs. teachers, and they must ride on donkeys while playing. NHS is expecting the event to be a huge moneymaker.
If this gets approved, NHS should have no problem reaching its goal for this year once again.
