Student Council donut fundraiser
Student Council brought joy and happiness in the morning of Dec. 8. They sold Krispy Kreme doughnuts for only a dollar from 6:45 a.m.-7:15 a.m. in front of all the entrances.
“We figured selling doughnuts would be easy because most people don’t eat breakfast and always go though the exits we were at,” said junior exec Taylor Zaft. “The purpose was so that we could raise enough money for all of our upcoming events like the Easter Egg Hunt and Special Olympics.”
The president, Shayla Hrnic (12) is also very proud of how well they did
“It was awesome, we bought 504 doughnuts and sold all of them and there were still a line of people,” Hrnic said. “We will be doing another on Dec. 21.”
Student Council has been successful being self-sustaining, and making sure all of their events always turn out well.
“It was a great turnout, none of us really expected to sell out that fast, we sold each and everyone of them it was great,” said Zaft.
The student body went crazy over the doughnuts due to the announcements the mornings previous to Dec. 8.
“I bought a dozen so I could share them in ANP because we always have snacks and share them with each other,” said Madiah Parker (10).
