Seniors get the opportunity to paint their own Tiger Paw Prints
Seniors are leaving their mark on OHS. Literally.
Over the last couple of years, the Oakville Cheer Program has done a fundraiser through their booster program that allows the students to purchase a tiger paw print for $15.
“(The proceeds go towards funding) the fun senior events for the senior cheerleaders,” Coach Becky Bruning.
Senior students could update the traditional yellow paw print and add their own personalization for an additional $5.
On Sept. 4, and other scheduled painting nights, seniors were able to come up to the block top located between the school and the football field to paint the paws. Many students added logos of their after school activities and sports.
Georgia Hamburg (12) added the symbols of National Honor Society, DECA, Swim, and Science National Honor Society to her personal paw. Others, like Phoebe Rodenbeck (12), made the parts of the paw a design.
“Before, all the paw prints were the same, so you couldn’t even tell who the seniors were,” said Lauren Halamicek (12).
