Could Coronavirus affect Spring Sports?
On March 13, OHS spring sports athletes still had lots of speculation regarding cancellation of games and practices due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Rumors included postponement of games until the beginning of April to overall cancellations of the whole season.
The truth is that Dr Chris Gaines, Superintendent for the Mehlville School District, coordinated with Missouri State High School Athletic Association (MSHSAA) on decisions regarding the season.
MSHSAA has full say over what happens with athletics, said Athletic Director at OHS, Becky Czuppon.
As of right now, all athletics are still in season, but subject to change.
Czuppon is unsure of the future: “Everything can change in 48 hours.”
