The OHS boy’s soccer team had six players chosen for the Suburban West Conference team.
Three players were named to first team all-conference, including goal keeper Josh Richter (12), midfielder Rylan Smelcer (12) and forward John O’Brien (12). Forward Jared Swierk (11), midfielder Luke Miller (11) and defender Jordan Klipsch (10) were selected for second team all-conference.
O’Brien led the team in points with 33, which included 14 goals and five assists. Swierk was second on the team in points with 28 along with 11 goals and six assists.
Along with his first team all-conference selection, Richter was also selected as the Conference Co-Player of the Year, with Parkway South’s Chris Roth. In addition, Richter was the Prep Cast Player of the Game for his play against CBC in the championship game of the CYC Tournament. Richter allowed one goal in the game and racked up 14 saves.
