The Tigers defeated district rival Mehlville 2-1 in a nail-bitting game on Nov. 1.
With the game tied after regulation, Junior midfielder Alex Dieckmann came up with a huge goal in OT to give the Tigers a win and take them to the district championship game against Vianney. Dieckmann also played a key role in a game against Kirkwood on Oct. 26, where he had one assist to help lift the Tigers over the Pioneers 2-0. The goal against Mehlville gives Dieckmann four on the season and he also leads the team in assists with ten.
The Tigers will face Vianney today at 6 p.m. at Kirkwood for the district title. OHS lost to Vianney earlier in the season, 2-1.
