On May 15, the OHS girls varsity soccer team took on district rivals, Lindbergh High School by defeating the flyers 1-0.
The varsity tigers then took the win on the field from Lindbergh with the goal scored by Kelli Jungwaelter (9) and an assist by Gabby Korte (12).
“It felt really good, and we deserved the win.” said goalie Tina Haberberger. “I can not wait to see how the rest of districts will go.”
The girls have been practicing very hard and working out the tweaks in their formation. Junior Midfield, Lexi Pommer (11) also had a good game.
“We kept pushing the ball forward to get it to the goal, and Korte and Jungwaelter made that happen.”
Mehlville High School and Fox High School played in the first round with Fox taking a win 4-1. OHS will play against the Cor Jesu Chargers in the district championship game tomorrow at 6pm tomorrow at OHS.
