Soccer struggles to score, falls to Eureka on senior night
Varsity soccer honored their seniors at Thursday nights game against Eureka. The tigers battled through a scoreless game forcing them to go to penalty kicks. The team lost in PK’s 3-2 with goals scored by Jacob Dodge (12) and Michael Ruzicka (12) ending the game with a final score of 1-0.
“It was a hard fought game, unfortunately it ended in a loss,” Neil Michalak (11) said.
The tigers have struggled to capitalize on their scoring opportunities this season but have a winning record of 10-7-1.
“We have to finish our chances in and around the box,” stopper, Ryan Garst (12) said.
Varsity soccers next game is Tuesday, Oct 22 against CBC (Christian Brothers College) who have a similar record of 10-8-5. Their last home game will be against St. Marys on Saturday, Oct 26 at 2 p.m.
