Tigers slay SLUH, take on Mehlville in districts
A Tigers favorite time is definitely the fourth quarter.
For the sixth time this season the OHS football team came back from a fourth quarter deficit to propel the Tigers to a 27-20 thrilling victory over the SLUH junior Billikens last Friday Night (Oct. 25).
Led by senior quarterback Andy Oliver and junior wideout and linebacker Arsante’ Conners the Tigers erased a 14 point deficit, shutting out the Jr. Bills in the second half and scoring 21 unanswered.
This was a huge win for the Tigers as they are now 6-3, with a four game winning streak heading into the district playoffs.
The Tigers will face rival Mehlville for the second time in four weeks to kick off the district playoffs. The 3rd seeded Tigers will host the 6th seeded Panthers. OHS defeated MHS by a score of 35-23 on Oct. 11. The Tigers trailed 17-14 heading into the 4th quarter, but were able to storm back scoring 21 points and quarterback Andy Oliver (12) rushed for 140 yards in the fourth quarter.
The Tigers look to continue their momentum through this weeks game, that will start at 7pm on the stadium field this Friday (Nov. 1).
