Soccer season ends in district semifinals
With 11:30 left in the Tigers district semi-final game against Fox, the Warriors scored off of a corner kick to take the lead. The Tigers were then unable to produce any other scoring chances, and just like that, the season came to a devastating end.
The first seeded Tigers playoff run was cut short Tuesday night (Nov.5) with the loss. The Tigers had many opportunities to score but were unable to capitalize.
“We had a lot of shots on goal, but we couldn’t get over the ball, and every shot went sailing,” Neil Michalak(11) said.
The team went into the game knowing that they had already beaten the Warriors earlier in the season 2-0, but this may have been their downfall.
“We didn’t come into the game with much intensity or heart, which is why i think we lost,” Nick Makowski(12) said.
The tigers finished their season with a record of 13-9-1
