Michalski makes state, region softball teams
Varsity softball player Maddie Michalski (10) has recently claimed two outstanding titles.
Michalski made first team on both the All-Region and All-State team. She was one of 600 to 700 players who made the All-Region team, but was one of sixteen players–and only two sophomores–to make the All-State team.
Michalski is among the area leaders in batting average (.593), stolen bases (22), and on-base percentage (.688). She also leads the tigers in runs batted in (20) and slugging percentage (.814). As a freshman, Michalski earned second-team all-Suburban West Conference honors as the Tigers starting second baseman after batting .353 with 11 RBI.
“It’s really exciting and a true honor,” Michalski said. “I really look forward to improving on my skills and getting ready for next year to see what I can do.”
The Tigers look forward to watching Michalski in the rest of her high school career.
