OHS students featured in Young Artists’ Showcase
On March 17, the doors to the Saint Louis Artist Guild opened for the public to see the work of several OHS students in the annual Young Artists’ Showcase.
Created in 1886 as a non-for-profit organization, the Guild contributes the greater good of the STL region. It hosts national and regional competitive exhibitions all around the community. Recently it hosted the Young Artists’ Showcase, which exhibits all-media artwork from high-school students within 150 miles of the Guild. Ten OHS students were accepted:
- Megan Cox (11)
- Heather Sheppard (12)
- Sam Howard (12)
- Micaela Staggs (12)
- Laura Jones (12)
- Pheobe Ackerman (11)
- Whitney Miller (11)
- Courtney Becker (12)
- Madison Powers (12)
- Kourtney Burchfield (12)
“It was a really cool to see my artwork in such a professional environment. I think that everyone had kind of a surreal experience.” said Howard.
The exhibition was held from March 17 to April 9 at the Saint Louis Artist Guild in Clayton, MO.
