A press release issued on Feb. 22 stated that in a recent study, the Mehlville School District is tied for the top in the state regarding Return on Investment (ROI). This district evaluation measured the educational productivity of over 500 school districts in Missouri, putting the Mehlville School District in the top spot with one other district. The study attempted “to measure the academic achievement a school district produces relative to its educational spending,” according to the press release.
“I think it’s always nice to be able to say our kids are achieving,” OHS principal Bill Scheffler said.
Sheffler, along with other administrators, is pleased to see that students in the Mehlville School District are able to accomplish so much with what little is available to them.
“Our plan in the Mehlville School District is and always will be to do the very best we can with what we have,” Deputy Superintendent Dr. Eric Knost stated in the press release. “Ultimately our goal is to advance student achievement regardless of obstacles.”
