Students of OHS had some fun in the sun at homecoming this past Saturday, Sept. 26.

Judging by the amount of students that filled the gym and commons on this particular night, the turnout was definitely one for the books.

Student Council was in charge of setting up decorations for homecoming. Using beachy items including a home-made lifeguard stand, hula skirts, and umbrellas, the gym and commons looked like a sandy paradise. STUCO used items from the floats that were in the parade to decorate plus new items.

Homecoming court members included seniors Vito Cammarata, Cara Niehoff, Brad Sovich, Kassidy Ham, Austin Neal, Imani Kellum, Sean Miskovic, Amy Kaznica, Dave Chopin, and Emily Kapp. At 9:00, coronation began. Kassidy Ham was crowned homecoming queen, and Austin Neal was crowned king.

“It was such an awesome experience. From being on court with all of my friends to being named king I’m just blessed to have had that opportunity!” Neal said.

The night was definitely filled with lots of fun and this homecoming will be one to remember.
