2017-18 Student executives
With the end of the school year in sight, individual classes and the student body took into consideration who they want to lead them next school year. After candidates spoke to their classes on April 20, the school selected the following class presidents:
“I like the fact that I will get to be very involved with the school,” Uko said. “That was my goal by the end of my senior year, to be as involved as possible.”
Student body president nominees Sydney Stern (11) and Taylor Zapf (11) gave their speeches for the school during the spring pep rally on April 28. Stern has been her class president both her sophomore and junior year and Zapf has been her vice president both years.
After the votes were submitted, Zapf was named the student body president for the 2017-18 school year with Stern as her vice president.
“It felt great to win the election. This is something I have worked so hard for the past three years and I am so glad I get the chance to lead our school,” Zapf said. “My main goal next year is to bring everyone together- I am involved in so much, and I think it would be great to get others to do the same!”
