OHS Gets New Scoreboard
After years of struggling to read the score at Rodger Estes stadium, the Oakville High School athletic department raised enough money to replace the old scoreboard in the Northwest end of the stadium.
For years, OHS athletic director Becky Czuppon has been raising money in order to pay for a new scoreboard.
“The scoreboard has been something we’ve been trying to get replaced since i joined here seven years ago,” Czuppon said.
The old scoreboard had been at the stadium for roughly 35 years and was showing sign of its age. The new scoreboard was constructed over the summer and will be ready for the fall sports season.
“The new scoreboard looks very good,” Czuppon said. “Its design matches that of the rest of the stadium with a very classic look and its size doubles that of the old scoreboard.”
