The Ping Pong Club will be having its last meeting on February 19. The sponsors, Sue Caton and Michelle Wood, have finished up their first year working together.
Last year, Mrs. Linda Gebauer was teaching at Oakville, coaching both of the tennis teams, and running the Ping Pong Club. At the end of the year, she retired and Wood wanted to continue the club, since it is a laid back and fun club.
“We will miss her very dearly. But Caton stepped up to help me,” Wood said.
Many times, both of the teachers have also competed with the students. Next week should be no different except for the competition being tougher for the last week.
