As the season of giving approaches, OHS is finding a way to give to those in need. The annual food drive for Feed My People started on Nov. 2 and students are ready to make a difference.
Although the past can drives have been successful, Student Council and National Honors Society are working on getting as many cans as possible by visiting stores such as Shop and Save or Schnucks.
Zwilling and Fruhwirth, stuco sponsors, are encouraging all students to get involved.
“I hope it’ll exceed last year’s collection and I think it will because Stuco is trying really hard to get everyone excited and competitive about it!” Stuco Vice President, Kelsey Boyle (12) said.
Oakville students can bring cans into their Academic Networking Period (ANP) until Nov. 18. The ANP in each grade with the most cans will win a breakfast during school in ANP.
