Kellerman exceeds expectations

Kellerman exceeds expectations

In the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year, Principal Jan Kellerman adopted the motto “Our House”.  This was done to make the students feel more comfortable at OHS because of the amount of time we spend here.

Fast Forward nine months later, and that motto has become a huge success.  If you walked into OHS, you could notice the difference.  Kellermans first year as building principal as over exceeded her expectations.
“I am really glad that the building as a whole was able to make this year as good as it was” Kellerman said.  “That was my main goal of this school year, and it feels good to be able to know that we accomplished that.”
Kellerman also stated that she hopes to be able expanded the Senior Privileges program and get it to where it needs to be.
“I think it is important to let the senior class have some freedom after three years of working hard, especially if they all are moving away from home, and off to college.”

As a student here, I think Kellerman had made an impact on my highschool career tremendously.  I do not have to wake up in the morning anymore dreading being in this building for seven hours a day anymore.  And I am glad that I still have one more year here with Kellerman.  It takes more than one person to make this school what it is, and I think being a senior next year, it is our duty to help the underclassman enjoy being here as much as we do.
