Every year, Spanish club sponsors Operation Homefront. Operation Homefront is a project where students donate items such as toothbrushes, chapstick, toilet paper, or small snacks to their Spanish classes to be sent off to soldiers.
Normally this project takes place this month, but this year Spanish club decided to move this drive to next semester.
“So many collection projects were going on like the canned food and toy drive,” advisor Carol Robinson said. “We still think it is a great cause, but we felt the kids were burned out from all the drives going on.”
As of right now, Spanish club does not have a set date as to when Operation Homefront will start for next semester.
