Telling the Story: Governments Perform Amendments

OHS Govt. classes have found a new ways to learn the amendments.

The classes learned a dance and participated in a storytelling project in which students had to create a book on one amendment and share it to the class like they are in elementary school.

“We’re going to sit around in a circle and act like we’re in kindergarten and read each other’s stories,” Arianna Ellison (9), an Honors American Govt. student, said.

Also most students agreed that the dance is really annoying but it helps them remember.

Kara Beck, a teacher of Government, thinks that the teaching helps the students become more interested and involved in a topic that is hard to cover.

“There are limitations on learning all 27 but they enjoy it and it helps them learn them all.” Beck said.
