Defensive back and wide receiver Javon Henderson (12) was a big part of the Tigers 38-16 win over Fox in the first game of districts on Oct. 14.
In the game, Henderson recorded 246 total yards while scoring four touchdowns. In the first quarter, Henderson recovered a fumble for a 48 yard touchdown. He then caught a 48 yard and 33 yard touchdown pass in the first and second quarter from quarterback Andy Oliver (10). To top it off, Henderson ran for an 80 yard touchdown, giving him four touchdowns on the night.
“He is just a playmaker,” head coach Arlee Conners said. “He’s a guy where you just have to find a way to get the ball in his hands and I thought he made some big plays for us on Friday. The opportunities he did get, he made the most of them.”
OHS is now 4-4 and will host Northwest this Friday at 7 p.m. for the second game of districts.
