After last night’s incredible victory against Mehlville, the OHS varsity boys soccer team is prepared to bring home a district title. Tomorrow night the boys will face the ultimate test, playing against top dogs, the Vianney Griffins.
Vianney’s record is 18-6-2 while OHS is 17-7-1. Last year we lost to Vianney in the district tournament 2-1, however, this year the tigers are not going down without a fight.
“Vianney’s offense is really good so hopefully we can stop them and pull out a win,” Jordan Klipsch said.
Having a team that works well together and can maintain a cool, positive attitude presents an advantage compared to those who do not. The closeness of a team can help in working together when times get tough and when there is a need for the team to step up their game.
“We have excellent team chemistry and play with an IGYB (I Got Your Back) attitude. When they have a good team chemistry they are excited to play for one another and support one another,” varsity soccer coach Dave Robben said.
The boy’s soccer team will play for the Class 3 District title at 6 p.m. tomorrow at Kirkwood.
