With a record of 6-15, this season for girls basketball has been disappointing. However one consistent producer on the team has been freshman Alyssa Norberg.
Norberg played a key role in a win against Seckman on Jan. 24, scoring a team high 11 points. Then against Lindbergh, Norberg led her team to a 37-24 win with ten points. This past week, Norberg had seven points along with five steals in a loss to Northwest on Jan. 31 then six points in a loss to Fox on Feb. 3. In the Coaches v. Cancer game against Mehlville on Feb. 7, Norberg scored ten points and had four steals in a loss, 28-33. She is leading the team in points, averaging 8.3 per game and in rebounds, averaging 5.7.
“She is a really hard worker and cares a lot about the game and her team,” head coach Aaron Bosch said. “She has exceeded my expectations as a freshman on a varsity team and she has a really bright future.”
The Tigers will host Marquette this Friday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m.
