The OHS golf team has been having an up and down season with a 2-3 record as a team. Individually, the Tigers have been strong with Ryan Hancock (11) and Alec Inman (11) having medaled twice.
“They’re the best overall players,” head coach Mrs. Cindy Maulin said.
The Tigers participated in the Mark Wade Memorial Tournament, which was dedicated to the former coach at Parkway South who died unexpectedly in 2003.
“It’s a pretty big tournament,” Maulin said. “And our guys did well with Hancock placing third and Inman placing 15th.”
Despite a losing record, the Tigers expect to do well in postseason play.
“Our goal is to make it out of sectionals and have a lot of individual qualifiers,” Inman said.
The Tigers next match is on April 25, at 3:30 p.m against Euerka at The Legends Country Club.
“We haven’t been playing to our full potential, but if we stay focused our play will come around,” Hancock said.
