The OHS football team is off to a slow start by going 1-2. During the first two games, the offense failed to score a passing touchdown. Mental errors and not running crisp routes have lead to a stagnant aerial attack. Avion Stevenson (12) put an end to that on Friday Sept. 7 against Lindbergh.
“We needed someone to step up and contribute from the wide receiver position,” fellow teammate Derrick Brown (12) said.
Stevenson caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. The Tigers also won their first game of the season.
“It felt nice to win but now we have to focus on Eureka,” Stevenson said.
The Tigers play Eureka on Sept. 15 at the Edward Jones Dome at 6:30 p.m.
