OHS hosted a volleyball tournament on Sept. 15 with 20 teams participating. The Tigers were very successful with wins against Washington and Eureka, and a 2-1 loss against Marquette. Sarah Makowski (12) made a huge impact during the tournament.
“She is a leader on and off the court,” head coach Morgan Lucas said.
Makowski accumulated 20 kills and 41 attacks during the tournament. She also is second in block average with 1.33 blocks per game in the Suburban West Conference.
“We try to get her the ball every time and she makes plays,” teammate Kayla Reeg (12) said.
The Tigers play St. Joe’s on Tues. Sept. 25 at 5:15 p.m.
“We did what we needed to do,” Makowski said.
