The OHS soccer team played Fox on Oct. 18 at Roger Estes Field at 7 p.m. It was the first time they played a “pink out” game.
“It was really cool because players had pink tape and pink laces,” Brian Tate (12) said.
Fox hung around the first half with a score of 0-0. Then in the second half, Nick Makowski (11) and Messy Dedic (12) scored to put the Tigers up 2-0.
“They’re really competitive, but then we dominated the second half,” Tate said.
October is breast cancer awareness month, so the Tigers decided to play the pink-out game to honor it.
The Tigers next game is on October 20 against St. Mary’s at St. Marys at 12 p.m.
“This helps us build momentum into districts,” Tate said.
