On Dec.8, Ava Strickland (12) brings her opponent down during her match. It [the match] was very exciting. I got seventh place, but I was wrestling in the 140 weight when I usually wrestle in the 145 class, Strickland said. Her goal for her senior season was to make it to the podium at least once.

Sophomore Rylee Rafferty (shown in the white) plays soccer for her former select soccer team, the Steamers. “I think that we all help each other and motivate each other to improve,” Rafferty said. “The coaches help us at practice and give us guidance in not only the game but in our lives.” Rafferty hopes to try out for a different soccer team this summer, but says that she will always cherish the Steamers.
