Hello, everyone! This is my first year as a reporter for The Prowl, and I am also Copy Editor-in-Chief of the Tiger Paw yearbook. In my free time, I love to watch movies, listen to music, go to concerts and thrift. I’m excited for all of the stories to come this year!

Spanish Club members make tie blankets for a children's hospital. "My favorite part of fundraisers like this is being able to support an incredible cause while creating a fun event for all students in our school to enjoy," said Spanish Club member Brendan Horn. "I feel that doing fundraisers like this is a wonderful way to give back to the community, support others, and create a lively environment in our school." The club raised more money than needed and was able to purchase additional supplies to make the blankets.

Maria Parisi (12), Riley Parisi (10), Isabella Poertner (9) and Kaylee Nguyen (12) pose at St. Peters Rec-Plex after competing at state. “We basically talk about how our plan is either to go faster or just do better overall,” said Poertner. “Then we cheer each other on while we’re swimming and we just basically collaborate on how to do better.” She added that she was excited to qualify for state, following in the steps of her siblings.

Saint Louis County’s Transportation and Public Works has proposed a roundabout at the intersection of Yaeger and Milburn Roads to replace the current 4-way stop. “They’re nationally recognized as a traffic calming measure, and they have been installed to great success in many locations,” acting deputy director of Transportation and Public Works for Saint Louis County Joseph Kulessa said. The roundabout aims to do more than just prevent accidents, as it can also lower congestion during peak traffic times and make for easier pedestrian crossing.
