Homecoming week ended in smiles on Sept. 10 when OHS geared up for the 2011 homecoming dance. This years homecoming theme was Candyland, complete with giant lollipops and a gingerbread house.

“The decorations at homecoming were great,”Nathan Dieckhaus (12) said. “I enjoyed the craftsman ship also.”

The dance was held in Gym-A with a Dj on stage. Chaperone Michele Wich said that this years dance was more calm than previous years. The homecoming court stood on the balcony as the winners, Alex Bergman (12) and Ciera McNabb (12), were crowned king and queen.

“When they announced I won it was an indescribable moment,” McNabb said. “It was an honor just to be on court.”

Bergman also said he was shocked when he won and that he thought the decorations were great.
