Students fights for drug awareness

Students+fights+for+drug+awareness

Red Ribbon Week is coming to a close and is ending on a powerful note. The final spirit day of the week is Superhero day. Some students wore superhero shirts to school and a few took it a couple steps further with wacky costumes from head to toe of their favorite superheros.

Timmy Buehne (12) walked into the doors of OHS on Oct. 25, and got many double takes with his attire. White body, armor suit, skirt, and gold shoes, there was no doubt Buehne chose to go all out.

“I am Kratos from God of War,” Buehne said laughing. “I wanted to show my school spirit for Red Ribbon Week, end it with a bang!”

The outcome of the week turned out pretty well. Many students chose to represent the fight against drugs and stand up for what they believe in.

“Do not do drugs,” Buehne said. “Crack is wack!”
