OHS helps Beasley celebrate the holidays

OHS helped Beasley Elementary take on the holidays during Beasley’s “Pancakes with Santa” Holiday Extravaganza.

Kids of all ages were welcomed on Dec. 4 to join for all-you-can-eat pancakes, crafts, games, and face painting. The day was produced with the help of Oakville’s NHS and Key Club. Christmas-oriented games, such as a hockey-based game where the child shoots a puck toward a reindeer goalie, were run by OHS members.

“The kids really enjoyed the games,” Key Club Executive Emily Davidson (11) said, “it was fun to watch.”

More craft-oriented children could opt to construct crafts and other Christmas-related activities. No matter the child’s interest, there was something for everyone.

“There were so many cute, crafty things,” Davidson said, “My group was making reindeer food.”

Not only was there entertainment for the kids, but vendors were also selling fun trinkets and gifts. Even Santa Claus was available to take pictures with the kids.

The Beasley Elementary School Holiday Extravaganza was a success with OHS students, children, and parents going away full of pancakes and in the holiday spirit.
