How to study for finals

It’s finally the last week of school. All that stands between us and summer is finals. As much as we dread finals they are important. They can make up 10% of a student’s grade. So what is the best way to prepare?

Well obviously it is important to study. Although it may be tempting to cram all your studying in the night before a final it is not the best way to study.

For students who get distracted when studying, a study group may be a good idea. The other students in your group can make sure you stay on task. Also, if you have trouble with a certain concept your peers can explain it to you.

When studying it is okay to take breaks. It gives your brain a chance to relax and process what you just learned. Also listening to classical music has been proven to help with studying.

One of the most important ways to prepare for finals is to get a good night’s sleep and make sure you have a good breakfast before school.

Whichever technique you prefer make sure you study and good luck!
