The boy’s golf team ends its rebuilding year with a final match play record of 5-5. With only losing one player, the team looks to have a bright future.
“We have a great base for next year,” said coach Cindy Maulin. “We learned a lot.”
Four players qualified for the sectional tournament: Rylan Smelcer (12), Ryan Hancock (10), Kyler Dill (11), and Cameron Crouthers (11). All four players failed to qualify for state by only a few strokes.
The team wraps up their season with the conference tournament on May 11th. All in all, the team had a very successful year with a very young squad.
