Over the holiday break, wrestling participated in the 30th Spartan Holiday Tournament on Dec. 27 at De Smet along with schools such as St. Louis U. High, Parkway South, Parkway North and Vianney.
Dominic O’Neil (10) came out big in the tournament, making it to the finals on Dec. 28. He ended up placing 2nd in the 132 lb. weight class and was the Tigers’ top finisher. O’Neil also placed fourth in the 40th Annual Mascoutah Wrestling Invitational on Dec. 26.
“His record is 20-2 and the last couple weeks he has been on a hot streak,” head coach Brett Lieberoff said. “He is wrestling really aggressive and hopefully he can keep it going.”
The Tiger’s next meet will be this weekend at the Suburban Conference Tournament.
