The OHS varsity hockey team upset the Chaminade Red Devils 7-1 on Dec. 13, . The Red Devils were supposedly going to be a tough team to beat, but the Tigers made easy work of them.
Charlie Freshman (10) scored three goals, Brendan Nichting (12) scored two goals, and Andrew Kovacich (12) and captain Luke Hassler (12) each scored one goal. This was a big win for OHS bringing their record to 5-5-1.
“I feel pretty good about scoring three goals,” Freshman said. “It was my first hat trick on varsity, and it was a big game.”
Hassler is very proud of himself and his team in the big win last night.
“We turned it around big time,” Hassler said. “We beat them pretty bad, and this is going to be a start of something good.”
OHS plays Vianney on Dec. 15 at Kennedy Ice Rink at 9:15 pm.
