Water Polo ends the season on a high note

Water Polo ends the season on a high note

The varsity and JV water polo finished up their run during districts on May 8 and 10. The teams both keep their spirits high, as it came to the end.

The JV players ended their seasons after they lost to Parkway South. However, the team fought to the end and left everything they had into the pool. During the game, Ally Landmann (9) scored one of her first goals of the season to end the year. Even though the team lost; the team is remembering all of the good times the team had. The team is ready for the next year and what they will be able to do.

The varsity team ended their season after losing to SLUH, the number one seed in the state. The team knew that the game would be a battle and would be one of the last game the seniors would have of their water polo career. The team promised that no matter what, for all of the four quarters, they would play until the end as hard as they could.

At the end, Head Coach Dan Schoenfeldt told the players, “don’t focus or grieve over this lost, remember all the good games and times we have had as a team.”
