Football looks to keep momentum going against SLUH

The Tigers line up in their first game of the season, where they defeated Marquette 27-21.

The OHS football team is looking to continue their momentum as they gear up for playoffs and take on SLUH this Friday in their last regular season game..

After winning three games in a row, the boys plan on beating SLUH as well, and to go into the playoffs with more momentum than they have had all year. Head coach Arlee Conners thinks the boys should do well against SLU.

“We need to play with focus, take care of our responsibilities, and build off of our good momentum,” Conners said.

Playoffs begin next Friday night, and the opponent is still undetermined, but it should be a home game for the Tigers. The boys are expected to play well if they continue to play the way they have been. Conners said they should continue to get better as they learn what they are good at and not so good at.

“We are in the process of refining right now,” Conners said, “I like our chances.”
