Wrestling loses match to Lindbergh, but two stars stand out

Even with two standout wrestlers Austin Neal (10) and Davin Heilich (11), the Tigers lost their match to the Lindbergh Flyers on Dec. 10.

Heilich won his match with a pin in the 3rd period. The score was 15-0.

“This season i want to win as much as I can,” said Davin Heilich. “If i don’t win, I want to learn from my losses.”

Neal won his match 12-1. Neal also has high hopes for the season, not just for himself but the team as a whole.

“I would like to make it to state and place,” said Austin Neal (11). “I also want to get as many team wins as possible.”

Led by 8 seniors, the team looks to have a successful season. The wrestling team’s next match is Dec 20-21 at Mascoutah.
