On Nov. 30 and  Dec. 4 and 5 the OHS varsity girls basketball team played in the Fountain City Classic tournament at Desoto High School.

Eight schools competed in the tournament. OHS placed first in consolation and fifth overall.

“They played well as a unit. The whole team contributed offensively and defensively,” varsity head coach Laura Bishop said.

On Monday, the team lost their first game of the tournament against Rockwood Summit with a score of 53-51. On Friday, OHS won their game against Seckman 45-35. Finally, on Saturday they won their game against University City 58-34.

“I think it started out rough but in the end we started coming together as team” player Tegan Hogan (12), said.
