Football adds another win to their season so far

For the first time in six seasons, the Oakville Tigers pulled out a win against the Mehlville Panthers on Sept. 2 at Mehlville High School.

“It felt great finally winning against Mehlville after years of losing,” Nadeem Jalali (12) said. “Everyone has been looking forward to it for a year.”

The team won 42-0, with touchdowns being scored by Jalali (12), Zachary Hough (11) and two by Ethan Venable (11). The Tigers are now 2-0, and are playing their next game Sept. 9 at home against Webster Groves. 

“We haven’t given up any points yet and I don’t plan on having it happen tonight,” Venable said, “so I’m confident.”
