Dancing With The Golden Girls

Sophomore shares experience dancing with Golden Girls

While dancing for OHS, Grace Henry (10) has made memories, learned new skills and made new friendships throughout her time on the Golden Girls these past two years.

“I wanted to join the team because I wanted to dance with my best friends,” Henry said.

Over the past two years, Henry has made many special bonds with her teammates that are unbreakable, which she believes has been an amazing opportunity for her.

“The best memory of Golden Girls has been the football game where it poured rain,” Henry said.

During that game, it rained so hard that the game went quiet, but not the Golden Girls. They continued to dance in the rain with each other while having fun and laughing. This is not the only thing that she enjoys about dancing, though.

“My favorite dance I have ever done is the pom dance that we are doing this year because it is something people haven’t seen and it is so much fun,” Henry said.

Henry shared that part of why she loves Golden Girls is because of the laughing, bonding and creating new memories with her teammates, which is why she wants to continue dancing.

“Overall I want to continue dancing because it is something I have done for a long time,” Henry said, “and I couldn’t imagine life without it.”
