Key Club President attends skill-building camp in Bourbon

Carolyn Ream (11), President of OHS’s Key Club, embraced an opportunity to go to Camp Mihaska in Bourbon, MO, over the weekend of Oct. 16-18.

Ream was one of many Key Club members from around the country to travel to this camp. Camp Mihaska, run by Kiwanis International, welcomed any member of Key Club regardless of whether he or she was a president or just a member, and invited them to participate in leadership building activities.

“It was a lot of fun,” Ream said, “I learned a lot about leadership and values.”

Part of the eye-opening experience that Ream enjoyed was getting to know and meet new people over the course of her stay.

“I got to meet a lot of cool people, and there was a rope course that was a lot of fun,” Ream said.

The weekend offered lots of opportunities to grow and fit into the role of Key Club’s President.
