OHS drumline puts on memorable performance
Band performing at Twin Rivers Worship Center.
The OHS drumline performed “Little Drummer Boy” at the finale of the Twin Rivers Worship Center’s (TRWC) Emmanuel service, on Sunday, Dec. 9.
Twin Rivers originally reached out to Bernard Middle Schools band to perform, and the middle school referred them to OHS drumline. TRWC compensated the OHS band program for the performance, and the earnings will be put towards the band’s trip to France in June.
“The performance went well,” said Jake AuBuchon (12). “The entire experience was a lot of fun.”
Kenny Brown, the music director at TRWC, wrote the music for the drumline. They prepared the music during band rehearsals and had a dress rehearsal at the church on Dec. 7. The service was performed four times throughout the day.
