OHS drops homecoming game to parkway south

OHS drops homecoming game to parkway south

Coming off a their first win last week at Marquette, OHS lost their homecoming game to Parkway South Friday night (Sept. 9 ) 12-6.

After a scoreless first quarter, Parkway South struck first with a 12-yard touchdown run by quarterback Eric Laurent (12). Laurent missed the extra point.

The Tigers were able to hold Parkway South until the fourth quarter when Patriots cornerback Terrell Bland (11) returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was once again missed, making it 12-0 Parkway South.

“Our defense was good at making stops when they had to,” OHS head coach Arlee Conners said.

OHS scored their first points of the game on a 38-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Andy Oliver (10) to wide receiver Jaron Henderson (12).

The extra point was no good. With just seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, OHS turned the ball over on downs. The TIgers were not able to make the comeback.

“We didn’t run the ball like we are capable of and that’s pretty disappointing,” Conners said.

OHS is now 1-2 and will host Mehlville next Friday, Sept. 16.
